Annual container throughput capacity increasing to 5.2 million TEU by 2023 with 24 Super Post-Panamax STS cranes, 67 RTGs, 4,900 reefer plugs, and an expanded terminal area of 1.5 million square meters.

Recent Milestones / Awards
December 2020: Named winner of the Sustainability Award at the Seatrade Maritime Awards Middle East, Indian Subcontinent & Africa 2020, in recognition of “exceptional initiative from within the region that supports sustainable maritime commerce”.
November 2020: Took delivery of two state-of-the-art remote-controlled Ship-to-Shore (STS) cranes, and 10 hybrid-Rubber-Tyred Gantry Cranes (RTGs), as part of the planned expansion which will double annual container throughput capacity to 5.2 million TEUs by 2023.
October 2020: RSGT CEO Jens O. Floe is listed as tenth in Logistics News ME’s "Power 25" Logistics Leaders for the Middle East Region”.
August 2020: For a second consecutive month, RSGT set a new record for container volume in Saudi Arabia with 264,546 TEU handled.
August 2020: RSGT welcomed the first call of the 400-meter long, 58.8-meter wide 21,413 TEU capacity OOCL Germany to Jeddah Port.
July 2020: RSGT established a new record with 254,514 TEUs handled, the highest monthly volume handled by any terminal in Saudi Arabia.
June 2020: RSGT recorded a productivity level of 203 Berth Moves per Hour while working the 6,800 TEU capacity Maersk Klaipeda.
June 2020: RSGT welcomed the 15,200 TEU capacity Maersk Hamburg; at 16.4-meters, the deepest draft vessel to call Jeddah Port.
May 2020: RSGT recorded a productivity level of 208 Berth Moves per Hour while working the 3,450 TEU capacity Uni Fortuna.
April 2020: RSGT expanded operations to include the former North Container Terminal at Jeddah Port, under the terms of the new 30-year concession agreement.
February 2020: Arrival of the first consignment of new advanced terminal equipment, which includes terminal trucks and trailers, as part of the planned upgrade and expansion of the terminal and operations.
December 2019: RSGT signed a new 30-year concession to consolidate and redevelop the northern sector of Jeddah Islamic Port, including the take-over of the adjoining facility, to become the largest container terminal in Saudi Arabia and on the Red Sea.
